when things of this magnitude happen half a world away, one feels useless....
but I always remember a woman I saw,
years and years ago,
who was going through some horrible event...
I'm ashamed I don't remember which one,
and she looked at the camera that was photographing her
and she said to the reporter...
do they know...do they know what is happening
and the reporter answered yes, they do,
and the woman smiled and said...that's all I want.
So, we know and if that's all we can do, it's all we can do
But my heart still aches for them and all that they have yet to face,
because no matter how strong and robust they are....
they are still human and they still hurt.
Thank you for putting into words what is so hard to comprehend, let alone verbalise. Mia S
ReplyDeleteHi Marilyn, yes it is overwhelming and hard to imagine what is happening in Japan. We have a good friend who is Japanese and lives in Dubai with his wife. I am sure it is devasting for them to watch it all unfold. All we can do is watch and pray. Best wishes and blessings, Tammy
ReplyDeleteThe trauma of it all, the massive devastation, the horror, the sadness and the ongoing worry is so troublesome. We can only hope. There will be goodness that arises from all of this.
