'nother toot....

I made a tutorial for the
cross stitch
stitch
for those of you who asked
it's up on the top of the page
I will now have to figure out how to combine a few patterns so I have room to put more tuts
help?
 :o

I ended up on a page the other day where they were discussing what this stitch was
no one seemed to know
so I thought it might be nice to share it
I did say on the page what it was
don't know if anyone paid attention
!!!!!!!!!

I have a feeling
I don't know for sure
but I think it's an old stitch
you know like
ancient
it would make very warm clothes
as it is almost double
I'm finishing something I made
using chunky mohair
and
 my biggest fattest clunkiest needles
and if all goes well
I'll post a little later
I'm also working on the doily
from a size 8 hook
'coz I can't find my 7 anywhere
to
size 19/15.0mm
knitting needles
well it's good flex exercise for the hands

:)

PS
Andi.. you can have the yarn, if I can have Don......(even though I think the guy might actually be a dud)

  5. Looks great! I haven't been crocheting much but have decided I need to do a little something every day even if that something is the same thing over and over. Anything to be creative. Hope your day is wonderful. Tammy

  6. Holey Tomoley...size 15 needles. You mean exercise for your arms. Those are oars you are knitting with love! ;)
I love that stitch pattern, I glad you brought this lovely out of hiding.
LOL-Don is a dud! I am sure you are right.

  7. Had a little look around yesterday after reading your blog. Found a pattern on Ravelry that referred to the stitch being in the Mon Tricot 900 stitches Knitting Dictionary. It was called Woven Basket Stitch there. Mia S

  9. Wow, this is gorgeous! I will definitely have to give it a try as soon as I finish my scarf (oh my, I'm on a roll and excited about it, I have to take advantage of this or it will end up in the never ending WIP list!!)
Andi's right, those are oars! LOL But they make a lovely work :)

  10. Oh Marilyn....you are making me want to pick up those sticks and try this! Love your variegated yarn here. It loves so pretty in this stitch.

I think the reason your stats are going up is cause you are showing all this beautiful work. Showing it off at other places does the trick too. I'm still not much of a chatter box as you bloggin'. It seems that there is not enough time in the day to do everything I want, so my blog is suffering!

Love & huGGGGggggsss to you my dear! Hope you had a fab weekend!
    your friend, E
