More sunshine...

but no lollipops or rainbows

instead pretty flowers and leaves
sitting in the sunshine
and shade
enjoying the light and warmth.
The middle two photos are of a varigated lipstick plant.
and the bottom one is of an ivy I have forgotten the name of,
but love because of the silver specks on the leaves.

Kitty freak out.....

This is the song that is stuck in my head today.
Yesterday the cat was in pain and I was freaking out, trying to help her.
I did the one thing one shouldn't do when
upset and paniced.
I went to the internet and looked up what I thought was wrong with her
to be met by gloom and doom.
We went to the store and bought Metamucil.
For her, not us.
I got her favourite food.
I fed her and she ate,
not knowing I had laced her food with the Metamucil.
She settled down and went to sleep for a while.
At about five o'clock this morning I heard her meow
but the hubs got up
so I stayed put.
He came back to bed and all was quiet.
I got up a little while later and she met me at the door
as always
and I fed her once again with the laced food.
She ate a little and had a drink and went back to her bed.
She has been quiet and peaceful all morning.
Sleeping and just resting.
Husband told me he cleaned her box when he got up
and she just peed.
So that is why I am singing about
sunshine and lollipops and rainbows...
 keep your fingers crossed
she's OK.

It's all OK now

(the blanking fridge isn't fixed
but I am!!!)

And to show you just how fast I can
get over a rant
I give you these,
to brighten your day,
as they have mine.
Little violets
with sweet faces and a sunny
disposition!!

It's Friday... again....

(This is a bitch fest...
warning you incase you don't feel like reading
a rant)
:-#

Another week gone.
The first week of March.
Around here,
a very frustrating week.
Not complaining,
I have nothing to complain about...
BUT when things get to you
you should say them out loud
and then they can get smaller
and fly away.
We are having "Appliance Problems".
The fridge is acting crazy.
It's because things are made to be consumed and thrown away
and we are supposed to just go out and buy new and more.
If the economy had to rely on us, the husband and I,
we would all be living in that cardboard box,
under the bridge!!
While I like to change things now and again,
and the husband is still stuck in 1950,
(as the sons used to tell him)
I don't think we should have to buy a new Major Appliance
every year or even every two and a half years.
Our old fridge lasted way beyond it's expiration date
and now we are faced with this eye candy
piece of junk.
Didn't choose it, but now you have it, so you have to use it.
Trying to get help, figuring out what is wrong with it,
is near impossible
and it gets very old, very fast, trying to get to the bottom of what is wrong.
Opinions run hot and deep,
and trying to help is futile.
'Nuff said on that subject.
Computers or computer boards or computer chips
have no business being part of something like a fridge.
MHO!
How in the hell did things work before all these new fangled
computers got to have a say
in whether or not the freezer freezes
or the fridge stays cold?
And why, when you try to find out what is wrong
do you run into brick walls that just give you a migraine?
You know that car company that is having trouble?
It's the computer part of it. But they won't say that
because they probably don't know how to fix them.
The one who designed it forgot to make a note of what to do when things go wrong.
Same idea there
the car doesn't work....
sell it and buy a new one.
So what if you have a scary ride down the hiway and end up on the other side facing oncoming traffic, or worse?
This is the land of buy, new and improved
there's plenty more where that come from.
It erks me no end and I am pissed.
The oven isn't as it should be,
the vacuum cleaner is a poorly designed contraption
that hits you in the leg every time you move it. You end up using the tool that is 1/2" wide to clean the house, because the part you are supposed to use doesn't fit under the furniture and the hose is still stiff and cumbersome. Oh, it'll suck you and the furniture, into next week....but just try to use it as you should...
and it cost a fortune.
Wasn't your choice, but you have it and you have to use it.

And on top of all this...
the cat is constipated!!??

See, I told you I have nothing to complain about.
It's all just part of life.....
the part that
just.....(fill it in yourself...)

As His Holiness said once
S--T happens
OOOOhhmmmmmm!!
(I meant to put this in and forgot)

Hope you all have a wonderful week end.
That you get to do something fun
and the sun shines on you
and makes you warm.

Sincerely.

The first of March

The first day of March was
bright,
sunny,
with big, white, fluffy clouds
in a blue, blue sky.
There was a wind
that reminded you that we are still
in that part of the year
where the weather
can play tricks on you.
 Another month gone.
Another month started.
Let's see how fast this one goes by.
I like it when a new month starts on a Monday.
Feels right, somehow!
The weekend
flashed by so fast
I don't know where it went or
what I did.

Well, I know I watched
"The Hockey Match"
that will go down in
HISTORY...
no "miracle on the ice"
this time!!!
But, I am truly happy
that Canada won,
because it was their turf,
so to speak,
and they deserved it.
I think Canada did an amazing job
and except for the tragic beginning,
which won't be forgotten,
the games were
enjoyable
fun
and
entertaining.
I miss the games already.
Cheering for whoever was winning,
laughing and crying
with all the stories that come about,
learning about other people
from other places
and seeing what the world could be
if we just got over ourselves
and lived as one.
This planet belongs to all of us
and we really should learn to share it better.

So you wanna see what I got today?

Yellow roses
because the tulips were already dead!

I baked a peach pie
'coz it's my favourite
and my arse isn't big enough!

Had to go to the big "W" store
to get the cat her litter liners!! She is very particular about where she....well you know!
so while I was there I found the yarn.
AND
because my sister said she wants us to see eachother when we talk
 the geek squad of one
hooked me up a camera
This should be interesting!!!!
Well, I have taken up enough of your time
so have a good evening
and we'll see what nonsense I can come up with tomorrow.
